WRITE tO WHITE HOUSE AND THE INTERNATIONAL TRADE COMMISSION
It’s important for the White House and the ITC to understand the American public’s concern for farmers. A phosphate tariff is a tax on farmers, plain and simple. Farmers have recently been subjected to enough economic distress as a result of needless trade wars and the global pandemic. Join us in saying NO to Farm Taxes by sending a letter to the White House and to the ITC.
What to say:
Artificially increasing the cost of phosphorous in the United States would directly affect the cost of one of America’s most important fertilizers. A tax on phosphate imports is a tax on American farmers, plain and simple.
America’s agriculture industry has been severely affected by trade wars. The industry is already expected to perform far below expectations for 2020. A Farm Tax would simply add to the existing challenges of surviving as a farmer in America.
